Eucharistic Renewal

Beginning on Corpus Christi, June 19, 2022, the Diocese of Evansville kicked off a Eucharistic Renewal in which our Parishes, Catholic Schools and Diocesan Offices are participating! At the same time, all of the Catholic dioceses in the United States are holding a Eucharistic Renewal (referred to as a “revival” on the national level). Eventually, the Renewal will culminate in a National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis from July 17–21, 2024.  For more information, visit https://www.evdio.org/eucharistic-renewal.html

Our parish will participate in this renewal in many ways, including providing Eucharistic-themed materials for youth and adult faith formation.  Additionally, parishioners should expect to see special displays and other activities to bring this renewal to our community.

Haiti Sister Parish – Connected for Christ

Connected For Christ

We officially started a twinning relationship with our sister parish in Manquette, Haiti in November of 2020. By the end of the December 2020 we were able to transfer $4,000 to the parish! Your generosity is amazing. Thank you all so much. The funds we have sent are being used for general parish needs, such as AV equipment, liturgical objects for Mass, chairs for the sanctuary, supplies for their Christmas Mass, pastoral formation days for parish youth and choir, rectory bills, charitable needs of parishioners, and more. Again, thank you so much! Please keep our sister parish Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in your prayers.

First Communion 2022
Our 2022 Precious Blood First Communicants all signed a cloth picture of our Sister Parish. It was mailed to them and they hung it for their First Communion Mass held on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

Calvary and Bethany
A day of blessing and prayer. Our sister parish has been hard at work over the past couple of months building a prayer and pilgrimage site just outside of town. Calvary and Bethany is complete. The Bishop came to celebrate and bless the site. Calvary at Bethany will serve not only as a site of prayer but in the long rum will help our sister parish become more self-supporting, as this site will draw pilgrims from the Dominican Republic. Religious articles will be able to be sold at the site in the future.

Advent Prayer Tree

During Advent we will be offering up daily prayers for our sister parish, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and all of Haiti. The past year has marked one of the worst humanitarian crises in in Haiti’s history. We know prayer is powerful!

Please take one Mass card ornament per family from the tree in the gathering area and pray the prayer of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception every day of Advent. Asking special intercessions for our sister parish and the entire country of Haiti, specifically for peace, relief of suffering, and justice for the people.

Mass Intentions Need a last minute  gift idea? How about having a Mass said for your loved one at our sister parish in Haiti. Cards are available in the gathering area by the bulletin board. We are asking a $10.00 donation for our sister parish be placed in the marked envelope and taken to the Parish office or put in the regular collection basket.
Haiti Collection Boxes
We have started our monthly collection for our sister parish in Haiti. The first weekend of each month is when the boxes will be out by the doors going into church.
Any donation is greatly appreciated!

“Here are some pictures of the missionary activity in Village des Oliviers this afternoon. I want to start saying Mass in this area once a month. People are far from the center of the parish”. Fr. Renel
