The Precious Blood Parish Council consists of 9 adult parishioners who are the consultative body for the Pastor in the management and operation of the Parish.

The Parish Council meets on the fourth Tuesday of month in the Council Room at 7:00 pm to review items pertaining to finance, building and grounds, maintenance, Faith Formation, and Spiritual Life & Worship and other parish matters.

Parish Council members serve a three year term. Each year two parishioners are elected to the council to replace two current members who have served their three year term.

The purpose of the Finance Commission is to prepare an annual budget and to oversee the operation of the parish finances according to that budget and to oversee the Parish Endowments.

The Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of month in the Council Room at 6:00 pm to review the requests for funds needed for Parish projects and determines the need with respect to parish finances.

General description of the Stewardship Committee:  This committee of parishioners assits our various minitries by coordinating and allocating the efforts and resources of our parish, in order to make best use of the time, talents, and treasures of parishioners.

The Mission Statement:  The Stewardship Committee of Precious Blood Parish is committed to the creative use of time, talent, and treasure. The committee promotes spiritual ans social development by offering opportunities for participation, encouraging acts of outreach, and leasing the example.

The pupose of each of the following activites are to be able to socialize and get to know our fellow parishioners. It allows for an opportunity to relax, have fun, in some cases eat and enjoy the fellowship of our community at Precious Blood.

  •  The Spaghetti Dinner is held the first or second week in November after the 10:30 am Mass

  • Coffee & Donuts is held the 1st Sunday of the month after the 8 am Mass.

Welcome Committee
The purpose of this committee is to personally welcome new parishioners to the Precious Blood community. All newcomers are visited and welcomed. During visits the committee members answer any questions regarding the community and give them information about the parish. Committee members also deliver a dessert prepared by women of our parish.

Giving Tree
In December, parishioners donate gifts for needy children from the surrounding area.  All parishioners are welcome to pick a card from the tree & donate those specific items to the Holiday Shoppe, which helps local families provide Christmas gifts to their children.

This Commission was created to foster and stimulate our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. This includes Mass, small group Bible Studies, the environment for worship, and other spiritual life and worship issues. The Commission meets once a month and is always open to new membership.

The Spiritual Life & Worship Commission meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the narthex of church (gathering area).

This volunteer Committee oversees the maintenance and improvement of the buildings, walkways, playgrounds and lawns of the parish.

The Committee works closely with the facility manager in evaluating the requirements of the parish.

Persons interested in helping the Committee are encouraged to Adopt-a-Spot. If you and/or your family is interested in maintaining an area on the parish grounds, please contact Ruth Fritch – 812-631-4230 or fritchfamily@psci.net

Memorial Garden located outside the parish office is a beautiful place to pray the Rosary. You can follow the stones that mark the beads & mysteries of the Rosary. Members are welcome to purchase a brick that will be engraved in memory or in honor of a loved one and placed in the garden path. Please call the parish office if you are interested in purchasing a brick.
